Ginny Liz
PhD student in physics
Hello guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! I’m the newest member of Cosplay for Science, Ginny! I’m a PhD student in physics who absolutely loves the challenge and problem-solving that creating and wearing costumes presents. I wholeheartedly believe that there’s a scientist and artist in each of us that we can unlock through curiosity, persistence, and creativity!
I also find enjoyment in adding bits of scientific accuracy to my costumes. My Space Faerie wings are based on a real-life nocturnal insect (glenurus gratus); my Momo Yaoyorozu reference dictionary is a real handbook of chemistry and physics; my Twilight Sparkle dress has actual constellations in the rhinestones adorning the dress. It’s the details that truly make a costume shine!
I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this initiative! Thanks to the C4S team for having me, and I can’t wait to start chatting science and craftsmanship with ya’ll.
